evil dead

Evil Dead the Musical was such an amazing show. Probably one of the best and funniest I’ve seen. What I really liked was that this was entirely Nick’s idea. A few months ago, Nick asked if I would be interested in seeing this show, and I said as long as it wasn’t going to be too scary, then why not (I really hate scary movies). He was also going to get tickets for his friends Dan, Joe & Melissa. I asked Bianca if she was interested in going, and she of course said yes. She got two tickets and decided to finally invite Kurtis a couple of days before the performance. Two weeks ago, Joe and Melissa informed Nick that they weren’t going to be back from the states in time, but that they would try to find people to take their tickets. Well it turns out that we had been talking to Andrew & Crystal and they were thinking of going and purchasing tickets. So I texted Crystal asking if her and Andrew were still wanting to go, and if they wanted the extra tickets we now had. They of course said yes, and I am so glad they were able to come with us.
We first met up at Ric’s Grill to grab a few drinks and a bit to eat. We spent a couple of hours there, and thank goodness we gave ourselves plenty of time, because the kitchen was a little slow that night (amazing food, but it was a slow night, so I didn’t understand why it took so long to get our food). Finally we headed to Pumphouse theatre and met Andrew and Crystal there. We all pulled in at the same time, so we didn’t have to go looking for each other.
The play was amazing and so hilarious (and perhaps a little dirty). I am so glad Nick thought of going, and I know everyone had an awesome evening. Worth every penny. I plan on going again if they come back to Calgary, and I even told Nick that I would sit in the splatter section (you get splattered with fake blood in the second half of the play if you sit in certain sections. This did not appeal to me initially) next time.
