My friend Kevin who moved from Saskatoon to Calgary a few months ago turned 30 yesterday. So Bianca and I came up with the idea to utilize her lake pass and have a little get together at the Auburn Lake. It was such a great idea, and according to Facebook this morning, it was the best birthday Kevin has ever had. It feels great to know that we made Kevin feel so special and feel apart of our group when he has only been here since April. The weather was amazing and we all agreed that we have to do it at least one more time before the summer ends. We unsuccessfully BBQ'd hamburgers and hotdogs on the beach (Carus and Bianca had to run back to her place to cook the meat), relaxed on the beach, passed a football in the water and later, a few people headed over to the Volleyball nets and played a few games. I didn't want the day to end and I can't wait to do it again.
