I probably had one of the best bachelorette’s in the world! Seriously, thank-you soo much girls for all of the hard work you put in and making it a night to remember ;) The night started at Bianca’s house, where we all got ready and dolled up for a night out. Bianca set up her mirror and makeup chair in the living room and we all did our hair and makeup. Danika of course helped and brought along her huge makeup kit. Bianca bought these adorable headbands (what’s with my wedding and headbands??) for all of us to wear. Mine had a little veil on it, and the rest of the girls had feathers, bows and flowers on theirs. While we were getting ready, Bianca had the girls make this memories box for me to use in the future to put items and pictures from the wedding inside. Each girl wrote me a little message on the side and helped decorate the front. Bianca even got penguin stickers (which Nick and I love) to stick on the box!
I then found out that we were heading to Chinook Mall to have our photos taken and have some fun in a photography shoot. I don’t have those photos yet, but I will for sure post those – they turned out so well! We had so much fun taking photos while Danika was yelling in the background “work it!” While at Chinook Mall we had a lot of people staring at us and giving us weird facial expressions because we were all wearing dresses, heels, makeup and our big headbands. Once they saw me with my bride-to-be sash you could see the expression on their faces change as they understood what was happening.
Next we went out to eat. At first we were suppose to go to Tango, but a little mix up happened with the reservation, and we ended up at Smugglers instead. I am so glad it worked out that way because the best part of the night was probably Smugglers. We had this amazing waiter who completely played along with us. I’ve been to Smugglers a few times before (it’s our Valentine’s Day spot) and I’ve seen this waiter in the past. He’s worked there for a long time and so he knows what he is doing. We were acting crazy and playing Loaded Questions, so sometimes the waiter would come into the conversation at the wrong time and hear some unique things. He even let Danika smack him on the butt! Food was amazing, and the company couldn’t be better. We laughed the entire time, and at the end of the dinner, they brought me out a cake with a candle for Congratulations. I will definitely be sending that restaurant a huge thank-you note after the wedding is over with.
Later we headed to Backalley because it’s one of my favourite places to go out dancing, though it’s been a long time since I’ve gone out. We had a lot of fun there dancing up on the speakers and side stages, but I think we had the most fun dancing up in our little private area with no one bugging us (well we had a few visitors through the night who tried to hit on the girls). Finally around 1am we headed home and I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
I just want to conclude with saying thank you so much Bianca, Crystal and Bev for planning this amazing Bachelorette. Especially Bianca for taking the time (which she has very little of) to plan every detail of that night. I have the best girlfriends in the world, and I am so glad they are all going to be a part of my special day.
